Word for Mac 2016: The quickest way to show or hide formatting marks in any version of Mac Word is to simultaneously press the Command + 8 keys on your keyboard. This project is a Mac OS X text editor that performs syntax-highlighting for MultiMarkdown documents, as well as implements various features to make authoring and editing MMD documents easier and faster. They will eventually figure it out and rewrite, much as I did over a year ago. They seem to suffer from the same problems as this code. There are other applications that have been built with the same approach used here (I'm not saying they used my code). You are welcome to use this code, subject to the license. MMD Composer 2.0 was a huge rewrite, fixing all the problems that existed with the approach used here in MMD-Edit (which formed the basis for Composer v1.) That said, however, the real project became MultiMarkdown Composer, which is a commercial application. This project is left on github as a demonstration. I thought I updated this long ago, but obviously not.
